Law Shielding Berlusconi From Trial Weakened

Two trials charging the Italian premier with corruption and tax fraud are on hold because of the law, which allows cases to be suspended if defendants have a "legitimate impediment" because they're a member of the government. A top Italian court on Thursday rejected the automatic and enduring shield from trial provided by the law, which was passed by Berlusconi's supporters.
