The New Republic: Angry Speech In A Digital Age

In the days since the horrific shooting in Tucson, Ariz., a debate has raged over the role of angry rhetoric in public discourse. John McWhorter of The New Republic argues that it is technology that fostered this kind of angry speech, and it will be difficult, and perhaps foolish to police the digital world for violent speech.
